What is TTT/CELT/TKT?

TTT/CELT/TKT are all part of the Cambridge English Teacher Qualification Certification System, which is developed by the English Assessment Department of the University of Cambridge based on the Cambridge English teaching framework. It is currently one of the systems with the widest global application and the highest degree of professional recognition for English teacher qualification certificates.

The birth of "ten hundred thousand" is the result of Xueersi English's internal teacher training system colliding and integrating with the CPD project tailored by Cambridge over the years.
 

Strict selection and training of internal teachers as the foundation

Xueersi English has extremely strict internal selection and training standards: in the initial stage, applicants must undergo resume screening, three rounds of interviews, and a continuous 7-day pre-job closed devil-style training camp. The pass rate is less than 10%. Subsequently, they undergo 3 to 6 months of substitute teaching training, with a final admission rate of only 3%.

Talent selection is only the first step in cultivating outstanding teachers. After joining, each teacher will receive a systematic, targeted training course and development plan. At the same time, Xueersi English has established a national training team of 100 excellent teaching backbones to provide continuous guidance to new teachers, in accordance with the traditional collaborative lesson planning of Xueersi, "Weekly Training" is implemented from top to bottom, providing systematic training on teaching philosophy, teaching techniques, curriculum upgrades, hardware usage, and supporting resources to ensure that the teacher team continuously iterates and improves, with an average of over 750 hours of training per teacher per year.

For example, in the summer of 2019, the first round of collective lesson planning was conducted in May, followed by intense training every day from 9 am to 8 pm, covering everything from blackboard teaching aids to classroom activities, from premium course demo sharing by coaching staff to collective teaching creation. On average, each person spent over 10 hours preparing for lessons each day, and in June, the second round of collective lesson planning averaged more than 500 minutes of lesson practice, lesson evaluation, and lesson recording per day.
 

Joining hands with Cambridge to create a progressive teacher growth system

In 2014, Xueersi English reached a strategic cooperation with Cambridge University Press, specially customized a CPD Continuing Professional Development program for teachers, covering seven levels for the four stages of new, intermediate, advanced, and special teachers, and introduced the globally recognized and authoritative Cambridge English teaching qualification certification system to systematically, continuously, and comprehensively improve the academic ability and teaching level of Xueersi teachers, aligning with international first-class standards.
