According to the introduction, the 100tal Education Research Institute is a social science research institution established by the 100tal Group, aiming to rely on the company's diverse educational technology products, rich practical cases, and massive basic data, as well as more than ten years of education and teaching experience, to conduct research on education theory, theoretical application, education development pathways, and policy-oriented research to solve major theoretical and practical problems in the reform and development of education in the new era, and to contribute to the development of education in China.
The seminar also showcased practical cases of 100tal in practicing educational public welfare and supporting public education.
Professor Zhu Xufeng from the School of Public Management at Tsinghua University pointed out that the establishment of the research institute by 100tal reflects the company's social responsibility and signifies that a growing enterprise has begun to seriously consider major issues related to policy development and human progress. He hopes that the 100tal Education Research Institute can have a forward-looking perspective and truly make forward-looking research contributions to human development.
Professor Zhi Tingjin, Deputy Dean of the National Education Macroeconomic Policy Research Institute at East China Normal University, proposed her own suggestions on practical issues such as "what issues should the education research institute research?", "why research these issues?", and "how to conduct research?". She emphasized that the 100tal Education Research Institute should highlight the company's positioning and industry characteristics, utilize technological and data advantages, continuously summarize and refine successful experiences from practice, and make valuable research results.
Professor Zhou Haitao from Beijing Normal University proposed that the education research institute should comprehensively fulfill three types of functions: "upward", "downward", and "internal", and focus on "policy in the short term, talent in the medium term, culture in the long term, guiding philosophy throughout". He actively explored working mechanisms, implemented a series of institutional mechanisms such as cooperation, project, publication, incentive, and application mechanisms, and conducted extensive cooperation with governments, universities, and social think tanks to solidify truly good results and promote them.
