The first stop of Xueersi Overseas Research Institute in Cambridge will focus on academic research and application in the field of youth language education, promoting innovation in English education.

"The cooperation and co-creation experience with the Xueersi team in English education has given us confidence in practicing a common educational mission," said Paul Colbert, global CEO of ELT at Cambridge University Press, at the unveiling ceremony. "With over a decade of rich practical experience and deep insights into Chinese youth learning, Xueersi has established a dedicated research collaboration team, jointly exploring language education that is more suitable for Chinese children."

Cambridge University Press has a deep academic background, a professional research team, and a massive collection of valuable language resources. "In the past five years, Cambridge University Press has brought us many advanced teaching concepts and methods. Through cooperation between the two sides, we hope that every lesson created for children is of the 'Cambridge standard'," said Lian Jun, head of English research and development at Xueersi.

In addition to continuous exploration of research and teaching, Xueersi's overseas academic research institute is also committed to combining research results with the actual learning situation of Chinese youth, using technology to assist students in "learning scientifically". For example, using big data research and technological assistance to improve students' concentration, improving learning efficiency through a blended learning model of online and offline, and using cognitive psychology and neuroscience to help students deepen their understanding of knowledge.

The choice of Cambridge as the starting point for Xueersi's overseas academic research institute is based on the rich co-creation experience of the two parties. In May of this year, Xueersi and Cambridge University Press held a strategic cooperation for the fifth anniversary at the British Embassy in China, announcing the cooperation results in content, teaching staff, academic research, and signing a strategic cooperation agreement for the next five years.

Learning English is not only to master the language tool, but also to develop the ability to communicate with the world and a cross-cultural way of thinking. Xueersi English hopes to meet the learning needs of children with different language abilities and learning goals, and find suitable English courses and advanced paths for them. By cultivating English listening, speaking, reading, writing abilities, and thinking habits, helping children "learn language, practice thinking, see the world, and lead the future."
