On February 28th, 2019, the opening conference of Tomorrow's opening of the year was held in Beijing. At the meeting, the founder and CEO of Tomorrow, Zhang Bangxin, made a report on his performance, reflecting on the past and planning for the future. The following are selected viewpoints:
1. Reducing the heavy academic burden on students is not only the responsibility of public schools, but also the responsibility of private educational institutions. How to reduce the heavy academic burden on students, shape their knowledge structure, and improve learning efficiency? Wang Zuo-shu, President of the China Association of Private Education, pointed out that we must start from three aspects: first, cultivate students' love for learning, stimulate students' interest in learning; second, cultivate students' ability to learn, teach students learning methods; third, cultivate students' ability to think, and develop students' thinking methods.
2. Tomorrow strictly adheres to its mission and is determined to promote educational progress through technology. We use advanced concepts and technology from around the world to promote innovation and progress in educational products, so that everyone can enjoy fair and quality education and achieve their life dreams.
3. Every employee in the company receives three "salaries": salary, growth, and a sense of achievement. In addition to money, employees should be able to gain knowledge and make progress, thereby gaining a sense of achievement and satisfaction.
4. The direction of Tomorrow's business development is gradually shifting from middle- and high-income families to low- and middle-income families; from outstanding students to average and struggling students.
5. The diversification of Tomorrow's business and decentralization is a major trend. We will make multiple efforts in offline and online, exam-oriented and quality-oriented education, self-operation and empowerment, off-campus and on-campus, and domestic and international arenas.
6. Tomorrow's online education has begun to see some results, but the future road is still very long, and the complexity and difficulty will exceed imagination.
7. There are no shortcuts in the field of education. Do not care about gains and losses in the short term. Every detour will not be in vain. We must set our minds and move forward step by step in order to survive.
8. In the next three years, Tomorrow will do three things: first, provide high-quality, low-cost courses and content services to a wider social group; second, cultivate the ability to personalize teaching based on individual talents; third, redefine Xueersi.
9. Tomorrow takes three-pronged measures to resolve the main contradictions in education: the first is the mass delivery of high-quality content and services; the second is personalized teaching based on user data and profiles on a large scale; the third is learning progress based on physical and mental health and ability improvement.
10. Xueersi aims to become synonymous with "ability improvement." The training goal of Xueersi is progress in learning under the premise of physical and mental health and ability improvement. We not only teach children knowledge, but more importantly, cultivate abilities that will benefit them for life.
11. Tomorrow is cultivating individuals with "virtue, intelligence, physical health, artistic accomplishment, and labor skills." Virtue includes Chinese and English; intelligence includes mathematics, physics, chemistry, and Go; physical health focuses on physical training and healthy physique; art includes online art and labor includes STEM and science and technology engineering. This will be Tomorrow's long-term product line.
12. In the next seven years, Tomorrow aims to transform from a training institution to an educational institution; from an offline company to a technology service company; from a Chinese company to a global company; from an operation-driven company to a data-driven technology company.
