At the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee held on the first day of the Lunar New Year, General Secretary Xi Jinping once again emphasized: Life is more important than Mount Tai. The epidemic is an order, and prevention and control are a responsibility. Under the solid leadership of party committees and governments at all levels, TAL Education Group is fully committed to cooperating with and supporting the deployment of "Suspending Classes Without Stopping Learning" by educational departments across the country. Therefore, TAL Education Group has decided to set up a special fund of 100 million yuan for fighting the epidemic, with specific measures as follows:

1. Donating 20 million yuan to the Wuhan Charity Federation for the procurement of medical supplies to combat the epidemic and to ensure the health of frontline medical personnel. As of noon on the 26th, 20 million yuan in cash has already been donated.

2. Allocating 80 million yuan for educational initiatives to maximize support for children in Hubei and other epidemic-affected areas nationwide to "Suspend Classes Without Stopping Learning". The current progress is as follows:  

  1. Providing free live streaming platforms and technical support for primary and secondary schools in Hubei province and other epidemic-affected areas nationwide.

  We recognize the current state of the epidemic and hope it can be controlled so as not to affect children's schooling. In the context of the delayed start of full-time primary and secondary schools, TAL will provide free live streaming technical services, offline live streaming rooms, live streaming teachers, and short video courses for all primary and secondary schools in Hubei province and other epidemic-affected areas nationwide to ensure that learning continues without teachers and students gathering. We are currently working intensively to connect and build live streaming systems for the start of school in multiple regions and schools.

     2. Providing online live teaching solutions for offline training institutions in Hubei province and other epidemic-affected areas nationwide.

  We offer the live cloud live streaming system to training institutions nationwide for free. To avoid and reduce offline contact among students, we encourage offline training institutions to switch to online teaching so that students can complete their studies without leaving home until the epidemic is over. As of 9 am on the 26th, a total of 713 new live accounts have been opened for training institutions.

     3. Launching synchronized free live courses for students who cannot attend school normally in Hubei province and other epidemic-affected areas nationwide.

  For schools in some epidemic-affected areas that cannot start the spring semester normally, Xueersi Online School has mobilized hundreds of teachers from across the country to offer synchronized free live courses and self-study courses for all grades from Monday to Friday starting February 10th. Xueersi Online School will start trial free classes from February 1st (the eighth day of the Lunar New Year), and elementary and secondary students who need to preview and review can also start to try out the classes.
