Telecommuting, school closures, and online teaching have become the new normal in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. To address the changes resulting from the pandemic, Beijing has implemented a series of measures. Facing the severe and complex situation, TAL Education Group responded quickly by launching prevention and control measures such as information dissemination and employee health check-in, to combat the pandemic.
TAL Education Group actively responded to the call from the superior party committee, strictly implemented epidemic prevention requirements, and established an emergency response plan for epidemic prevention and control. They also set up a team responsible for prevention and control, with Vice President Laura serving as the general commander and several party members as team members.
To strengthen routine epidemic prevention and control, TAL Education Group established an epidemic prevention information module on its office platform to ensure rapid information dissemination. The company implemented a "daily health check-in" process, requiring employees to report their daily body temperature, health status, vaccination records, and nucleic acid test results. Daily disinfection was carried out multiple times in all areas of office buildings, and epidemic prevention materials were distributed. To date, TAL has spent over one million yuan on purchasing epidemic prevention supplies. To reduce the risk of crowd gatherings, the company enhanced safety management in cafeterias, prohibiting dine-in services during the epidemic and implementing a take-out only policy.
To address employees' needs for nearby nucleic acid testing, TAL collaborated with testing agencies to increase the number of testing sites around office buildings, reducing peak queue times from an average of 20 minutes to approximately 5 minutes. Additionally, to further strengthen the epidemic prevention safety net and ensure thorough implementation of vaccination efforts, TAL actively promoted vaccination among employees by inviting epidemic prevention departments to provide on-site services, maximizing convenience for staff. The company's three-dose vaccination rate has reached nearly 80%.
Recently, to protect employee safety and in response to government epidemic prevention arrangements, the company implemented remote work for all employees. To ensure transparency and performance achievement during remote collaboration, TAL promptly established a set of guidelines for efficient remote work—referred to as the "Three Tools for Working from Home"—which include participating in daily meetings to align on goals, sharing open calendars for transparent collaboration, and writing daily reports for summary and sharing. The Party Committee of TAL Education Group has always prioritized epidemic prevention work, ensuring solid implementation of both production and epidemic prevention measures to effectively achieve both objectives without compromise.
